Belen Guzelyayla (Belen Guzel Plateau) (Sogukoluk)


Guzalyayla dominated by green covers and forests is accessible through an 8-km asphalt road with many turns after the separation of road to district Sarimazi in the town Belen. The plateau is accessible through bulk transportation from Belen and Iskenderun.

The plateau tradition has continued for centuries in Guzalyayla. That the plateau whose infrastructure problems are partly resolved is close to sea is another factor for the preference of the plateau. Iskenderun-Nergizlik Plateau


This plateau is accessible through a 14-km asphalt road from Iskenderun. It is at a 4-km distance to Guzalyayla.

The plateau is in fact a holiday resort. All sorts of fruits and vegetables are grown in the plateau where holiday settlements are built besides the authentic structure of village houses. It is possible to hire plateau houses by making a reservation beforehand.


Kirikhan Delibekirli Village and Cataloluk Plateau


It is possible to access the Delibekirli Village through a road, 3 km of which is stabilized and 3 km of which is asphalt from town Kirikhan.

The Delibekirli Village is a lovely plateau situated among vineyards and orchards where all sorts of fruit and vegetables of the Mediterranean Region are grown. The plateau and its neighborhood are covered with virgin areas which will please addictives to nature. The drinking water of town Kirikhan is supplied from the plateau (from Unguzlu) by centennial trees.

Daily catering facilities, country restaurants and coffees are available in Delibekirli Village.


Kirikhan-Alan Plateau


It is possible to access Asagi Esmisek Village through a road, 2 km of which is asphalt and 2 km of which is stabilized after you turn to east (left) from the 6th km of Hatay-Kirikhan-Gazi Antep highway after the town Kirikhan. You can reach Alan Plateau through an 8-km stabilized road with many turns surrounded by maquis going through the village. The plateau is also connected to Iskenderun through a 40-km stabilized road. Haymapinar, Degirmendere, Pasaoluk, Akarca and Camlibel Plateau on this road are toured by local people.

The plateau located on a vast ground completely surrounded by pine forests is covered with flowers in summer months.

It is necessary for those who want to camp to bring their tents and materials for basic needs with themselves.


Samanda-Teknepinari (Batiayaz) Plateau


The plateau is reached by a 20-km asphalt road from Antakya and a 17-km stabilized road from the town Samandag.

It is a kind of plateau village where history and nature are interwoven with each other. It is cynosure of local and foreign visitors (especially those from the Middle East) because of its proximity to the Middle East countries, all sorts of fruit and vegetable peculiar to the Mediterranean Region, coolness and frigid crystal drinking water on camping and picnic grounds. Daily catering units and camping grounds are available in the plateau.


Erzin-Kocaduz-Uckoz-Bagriacik-Karincali Plateaus


It is possible to reach Erzin through an 11-km asphalt and an 8-km stabilized road. Accessing the plateau by minibuses at every hour in summer months from the town Erzin is also possible.

Those plateaus are groups of plateaus where simple plateau houses most of which are wooden harmonious to the natural covering among pine and fir trees and toured by people from towns of Erzin and Osmaniye mainly in summer months. The plateaus close to one another are convenient for trekking.

As local people usually stay at plateau houses, it is necessary for those who want to camp bring their tents and materials for basic needs with themselves.


Dortyol-Topraktas Plateau


It is reached by an 18-km stabilized road from Antakya.

Dortyol-Cokek Plateau


The plateau is reached through an 8-km stabilized road from the town Dortyol.

It is a plateau having fresh air and a great deal of running water among pine trees. It is convenient for camping, having a picnic and going on a trip in the forest. The plateau lacks buildings. It is necessary for those who want to camp to bring their tents and materials for basic needs with themselves.


The Belen Town and Atik Plateau


The plateau road deviates from the 27th km of Antakya-Iskenderun road.

Atik plateau where springs of popular Atik water toured mainly by people from Iskenderun and Kirikhan is a district of the town Belen. Country coffees and grocers are available in the plateau. It attracts people because of its proximity to sea. Accommodation facilities are available in the plateau.
