The Park is located within the district boundaries of Sungurlu of the porvince Corum in the Central Anatolia Region. The National Park is 26 km to Sungurlu and 29 km to Yozgat and 208 km to Ankara.

The main structures in the National Park which bears the remaining of Bogazkoy, the center of the Hittite civilization one of the most significant civilizations of Anatolia are city walls, doors and tunnels in the walls, palace archive building in Great Castle and the temples. There are relieves of the king, queen, god and goddesses of Hittites civilization in Yazilikaya open air temples, in 2 km southeast of Bogazkoy.

The Park is highly visited during the periods between May and October. The accommodation facilities are in Bogazkoy village.
