Akdag


It is the mountainous and forested area between Civril, Kiziloren, and Sandikli towns of Denizli and Afyon provinces. This region gained important bird area status with wild animals such as Black Vulture (3 couples), Girffon Vulture (3 couples), Lammergeier (1 couples), and booted eagle (4 couples).

Isikli Lake


This lake is the fresh water lake and swamp area in Civril town of Denizli. Squacco Heron, whiskered tern, and Gull-billed Tern brought important bird area status here. The lake is very important for the waterfowls which live here in winter; Pygmy Cormorant, White-fronted Goose, Red-crested Pochard, Pochard, Ferruginous Duck and coot are seen here.

Bafa Lake


This area contains coast lagoons and saline swamps between Yenihisar, Soke, and Milas towns of Aydin and Mugla. Dalmatian pelican, Collered Pratincole, Kentish Plover, Mediterranean Gull, Caspian Tern and Little Tern are the important birds here. In winter, there is a large amount of waterfowls including Cormorant, Slender-billed Gull, Dalmatian Pelican, Great White Egret, flamingo, Wigeon, and avocet.
